Lexwell, established on Sint Maarten in 2001 emanated from the branch office of the law firm of Winkel Soliana & Grul. This branch office was established on Sint Maarten in September 1992. The firm evolved with the Windward Islands, serving as a legal partner for many of the leading businesses on the Island.

On November 1, 2001 the Sint Maarten office separated from the other branches of Winkel Soliana & Grul and continued the office independently under the name Lexwell Attorneys at Law.

In the years behind us, the attorneys working at the firm established a fine reputation as the pre-eminent provider of legal services on our Island. We regularly handle among the most complex and challenging transactions and litigation work facing the Sint Maarten business community.

We are not a mega-size law firm; On the contrary. We currently have 7 lawyers to render legal services in the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba -within their own field of practice- and committed to build a long lasting professional relation. Our lawyers are presently all from Dutch origin and were educated on different Universities in the Netherlands.

As a substantial part of our clients are foreign investors and entrepreneurs, we have built longstanding relationships with leading law firms in major U.S. and European jurisdictions. We work together with many of them on a regular basis and we are accustomed to working with clients, and lawyers, from around the world – in integrated teams, if required.
